Welcome to the SErvice-oriented Software Architectures Research (SESAR) Lab homepage within the Department of Information Technology of the Università degli Studi di Milano.

The research activities are mainly focused on the following subjects:

  • Software Process Engineering
  • Knowledge Management
  • Business Modeling
  • Semantic Web
  • Enhanced Security Architectures
  • Mobile Nets interaction and Geolocation
  • Open Source Development paradigms
  • Distribuited Systems
  • Net Protocols

The staff is composed by full time Professors, Researchers, Post-Docs, PhDs and Research Collaborators.

The research activities are carried out in collaboration with Italian and European partners, within national and international research projects and agreements with enterprises.

The Lab offers to university students the chance to carry out degree theses, stages for the acknowledgment of university credits, and the opportunity to participate to the actvities carried out in each Research project, achieving experiences for the future work activities.

Sesar Lab is part of the European projects  SecureSCM, that aims to the creation of a Secure Computation framework for the Supply Chain Management, Aristotele, for fostering a new way to conceive the relation among knowledge flows, the organization learning objectives, and creativity, and ASSERT4SOA, amed at the production of novel techniques and tools for expressing, assessing and certifying security properties for complex service-oriented applications.

Sesar Lab participate to the KITE.it project funded by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development under the Industria 2015 Program.

Sesar Lab participates, together with Engineering Ingegneria Italiana, to the implementation of the Open Source application Spago4Q.

We are part of the IEEE Task Force on Process Mining that produced the Process Mining Manifesto.
